Antroterra's Attic visited Mrs. Wolfe's first grade class and brought several reptile friends with them. Tatiana and Alec Mynuk, a third grader at RES, taught students about adaptations that allow native and non-native reptile species to survive in the wild, differences between venomous vs. non-venomous snakes, and the importance role snakes play in minimizing the spread of disease through rodent control. Students also learned an important safety lesson about how they should never catch or touch wild animals.
Special guests included: Yolotli, an Eastern Milk Snake; Drako, a Boa Imperator; Granade, a Hermann's Tortoise; Noughat, a Crested Gecko and two of his babies; Keahi, a Corn Snake, and Bendy, the Ink Snake.
