Students in Mrs. Wolfe's first grade class at Ronceverte Elementary harvested kale, oregano, chives, and thyme from their raised bed garden this week. They worked together to clean, cut, and assemble the ingredients into a delicious and nutritious kale salad. Students also pitched in to make a homemade vinaigrette. Cooking with kids enhances math and language skills and fosters a healthy relationship with food, while promoting a sense of accomplishment among students.
